Call for Proposals

Open 22 August 2022

Call for proposals opens: 22 August 2022

Entries Close: 31 October 2022

We invite you to submit a proposal online for a concurrent session or an individual presentation for our LESI2023 Organizing Committee to consider for our Annual Conference in Montréal. Individual proposals may be combined to create a more fulsome concurrent session / panel discussion.

We encourage you to consider timely topics with engaging speakers that will draw interest and be of practical use to LES global attendees. We will be looking for topics addressing core areas for LES members globally (including in Aerospace, Life Sciences, Automotive, Energy & Green Tech, Telecommunications and Entertainment, Design and Branding) but also topics that reflect the region where we’ll be hosting (think also maple syrup, cirque du Soleil, biotech and video games!). In the end, we’re looking for topics that are interesting, useful to LES members and reflect a unique conversation related to how IP can be (and is) being managed and leveraged to bring needed technologies to the global market. Put your creative thinking caps on!

For concurrent sessions, we also ask that you identify potential speakers and/or moderators who will be involved in the proposed session.

Please read carefully before completing and submitting your proposal:

  • A concurrent session will last 90 mins and can include up to 4 speakers.
  • An individual presentation will be allocated approx. 20 Mins
  • Each proposal should include an abstract of up to 350 words describing the presentation. (Please do not exceed the word count)
  • Speakers will also be required to register for the conference and pay the registration fee by 13th February 2023. The speakers’ rate to attend the full Conference is equal to the super early bird registration rate ($1,050). The fee to attend only the day you are presenting will be $500 (this does not include any social events or dinners – they will be an additonal cost)
